I'm running 4.56's with my 36's. I'd go atleast that or possibly 4.88's

not too bad, but its hard to tell since my motor is so worn out. I wish i would have gone with 4.88's. Especially since I might go to a 38 later on.

with the 8.25 rear the tallest gear available is 4.56 i believe. or at least it was when i built mine the first time.i have a 92 also and i have been running 4.88 for many years with either 35's or 36's and it runs fine even towed the toys when it was a DD. 4.56 would be a whole lot better than whats in there now.

yea cuz i have 32s now and can feel a little bit of power lost so i think either one would be a good choice but i cant find anyone to sell a carrier for 4.56 or 4.88

If i remember right the carrier covers from 2.71 and higher. but with the 4.56 the gear place had to grind a couple teeth to fit the cross pin but i had no issues with it. just need to make sure you get the right spline either 27 ot 29.

4.88's have been available for quite some time for the 8.25" axle.
