Default gearing question

ok guys here it is.
94 XJ
8.25 chrysler rear end

tag on cover has what appears to be "3413"
any idea on what gearing that stands for?

what engine and what transmission you got?

im assuming 4.0

auto is 3.55:1
manual is 3.07:1

Those numbers are correct if you do infact have an automatic tranny.

The gearing is not defined by that particular tag. Either the gearing tag has been removed or has been lost. As aircruiser says those are the standard ratios for either of the two available transmissions. This is all predicated upon you having a 4.0L engine.
