Angry Gauge Cluster Problems

I am currently doing an interior "face lift" on my '93 Cherokee. I pulled the entire dash a part, cleaned it up and put everything back together. I went to test the lights and my gauge lights aren't working and my headlights seem to be a bit sketchy. The shifter and transfer case lights also stopped working. Everything is plugged back in right, including all the LED's I put in. Maybe I bumped something?

Anyone know what's going on???

I would start with the light switch in the dash, make sure the wires going to it are all intact.

Did you unplug your battery before taking dash apart? If you didn't you may have blown a fuse in the PDC under the hood.

I did, but maybe there is still a problem with that. Do you by any chance know which fuse relays to the cluster? I don't have the manual.

Someone else may chime in I'm not familiar with that year but I would just check all your mini fuses in the PDC and the kick panel passenger side.

There's just one fuse in the PDC which powers the fuse block inside the cab, i think it's a 40amp fuse. So i would start with the interior fuse block.

This is the best i can do, from the manual of my '92. I can get you full wiring diagrams next week if you need them.

Oh, that's a great help! I will be checking the fuses when I get home from work. Thanks for taking the time to put those up!

I shall update tomorrow.

Figured it out! Blew the #19 fuse, and the break was so small I didn't notice it the first time I checked. Thanks again for the diagrams! Wouldn't have known that fuse controlled the gauge lights without it! Glad that's over! haha

OK, I guess I didn't figure it out. That fuse was blown, but I'm still having problems even after I replaced it. I feel like I've checked everything.

Same issues or did some go away with the new fuse?

I think a few symptoms disappeared. My headlights seem to be more consistent, but the cluster lights don't work all the time and shifter lights are super temperamental. It's just weird. I thought I had it fixed because everything seemed to be fine for half a day. Haha

Might need a new headlight switch.

I second this. Otherwise you've got a short somewhere, and those are never fun to find.
