Default Gauge cluster light help

Hey ya'll. My gauge cluster lights and hvac lights on my 1997 XJ Sport went out some time ago. The 5 amp fuse was blown in the passenger fuse panel.

I just today received my VLeds leds for the gauges. Installed, replaced fuse, and nothin doin. I checked my fuses, and they're all good. Besides chasing wires, has anyone had this issue? The headlamp switch could be bad, but my headlights work just fine, so I think that's ruled out.

Thanks for any input guys. Ya'll are the best!

Are only the cluster and the hvac lights not working? Do the other interior lights work and all exterior lights work. I'm not trying to insult you but have you tried turning the headlight **** for the brightness? It is possible that the headlight switch is going bad. Something to check out. Keep us posted.

Haha, yeah, all the exterior and interior lights are working. The check engine light, airbag, etc are all functional. I have no dome or foot well lights as it was a state owned jeep, it just didn't have them.

I'll look into the switch. Any tests with a voltmeter I can do?

When you are checking the headlight switch just pull it out and check the connections to see if the are corroded or burnt.

I replaced the switch, and it works great! All my HVAC and everything came back on. I'll be damned. Thanks for the advice, guys.

It's hard to believe that the power switch could cause no power to the lights. LOL
Just screwing with you.
Glad you got her working.
