Default gauge cluster on the fritz

i was driving the yesterday and my tach and speedo went to zero and "no bus" or "no bu5" displayed on my odometer. any clue as to what the heck this is? foreword: i do think i have a short in my electrical system bc when i press the brake pedal my gauge cluster ( my odometer and my radio clock) dim and when i use my left turn signal (only my left not the right) my odometer and radio clock blink in unison with my actual blinker. this doesnt affect anything on the outside of the vehicle(ie my brake lights, headlights or turn lamps).

thanks
