2. You'll probably have to look for the highest point of leakage. If it's coming from up near the feed nozzle, you have an overflow. Otherwise you have a leak. Remember fluids try to settle at the lowest possible point.

i had to cut them hubba hence the new hose i got maybe you could squirt i little wd in top of hose and let it sit it may help to loosen it. iwas in a hurry and i did it before i was on here or i would have known to take pics!
i run a stock skid. dented the skid enough to dent the tank enough so it wouldn't accept fuel. still run a stock skid lol
i never learn
just run the jeep until its almost empty and a good floor jack and block of wood are your best friends

As for the tube, I think I'll try the WD. Hose that the new fuel runs into the tank through is the one I'm talking about, and I don't have a replacement.

This may have to wait a little longer. I woke up to find it snowing today
Can't snow the entire time I'm waiting to get a tank and then thaw out now...nooooo.

Patrick the sender may be improperly grounded that will cause fluctations in your fuel guage reading.
Hubba use a small pair of channelocks to loosen the hose and they will not harm the hose unless it is dryrotted. As KTM suggested a floor jack and a 2x8 work great to lower the tank and also to raise it. Use the same to reinstall the gas tank skid. I have a piece of 1/4" plate to reinforce the skid the next time it gets dented badly.

Yeah I'm sure I'll be able to figure it out, I'm just worried about this really wet snowstorm we've had. I know my tires work, but I was planning on fixing my tank tomorrow. I really really really don't want to do it in the presence of so much moisture, so I may have to delay it until things dry up

Bump, think I can remove the fill hose (the one you fill the gas tank with at the gas station) with a screwdriver prying it out? Preferably while the tank is still under the vehicle. I really don't want to deal with damaging something getting it out and then removing it, I also don't have a spare filling line.
