Default u-joint question...

Would you guys fork out the cash for the good Spicer brand u-joints and centering yoke or would you just hit up the local parts house like napa and get theirs? For the axle u-joints I am definitely getting spicer..

i've had pretty good luck with the regular brute force ujoints for driveshafts. not sure about axle shaft ujoints though.

ive used so many different brand u joints so i'll post up with my findings.

I have GMB heavy duty ones in my front shaft, cant remember where I got em, i think NAPA but if thats the case, they dont carry em any more. theyre beefy as hell and so far theyre the ones i've had the best luck with.

I have the napa HD sealed ones in my front axles (smaller size, 260x), and theyre shot after a little over a year. i have a pair of brute force 260s to replace them. couldnt find any 297 shafts soon enough.

my rear driveshaft (stock) is running a precision at the tcase end, and some random house brand at the axle end. i blew the precision at the axle in less than a year.

i've yet to coin out for a spicer one since everytime i notice a joint needs to be replaced, i've needed it done pretty quick. if you have the time to wait (and i see you have a D35 rear, so im guessing you have ABS and the larger axles up front) i'd order a pair of spicer 760s and call it a day. theyre the strongest you can get without forking over the cash for a CTM or OX superjoint type deal. once i find a set of bigger shafts i'll be running the 760s.

I'll look for the GMB for the drive shaft and maybe even the axles..
