Hello, I have a 96 Cherokee Country, and the frame right above the gas tank where it hold up is completely cracked. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this or something i could buy to weld on there? In the 2 pics you can clearly see where it has separated. thanks.
Unfortunately, it's not just cracked. It's cRUSTY. I wonder how far back you'll have to cut to get on good weldable metal? If you're really eager to save it, you might want to take a trip to a salvage yard (some place southern and dry) and cut out the patch panels you need.
Lot of work. I don't know how much you want to bite off. don't know what your rig is for. your floor and probably a lot of frame are compromised. bandaid...drill through the floor from the bottom. new piece of all thread with a 3" square packing plate in the floor.
