I bought an XJ in December of last year, so im not to smart on some quirks. For some reason i can only put 14 gallons (roughly 220 miles per tank) into my Jeep from empty to full. I thought all Cherokee's had a 20 gallon tank. I have never driven it past empty, could it possibly have 6 gallons left and just be a sensor issue or is it another issue. Can anyone tell me where to start? Thanks in advance.

 

i think some of them came with a 14 or 16 gallon tank

dont no if this will help but my tank holds up 64 liters i dont no how much gallons that works out to be lol

 

64 liters is 16.9 gallons.
