CPS sensor (crank position sensor) it dies when it feels like it. it is located on the top of the bell housing of the transmission on the driver side. i tried the connect and disconnect and it didnt work, so i bought a new one...and WALLA, SHES ALIVE!

I think i might have been that guy. Anyway. I had the same problem. It turned out to be my Crank Case Sensor. When it goes, the Jeep will turn over all day long but will not start. Just something to check. Oh and a word to the wise if it is the CPS. Get one from a jy. A new one will cost you 70.00. If you need to know where it is this should help.Originally Posted by Country_Boy
i saw this thread and thread searched and some guy had the same problem. but it happen differently. his problem was fuel pump went bad. But seeing as how a fuse to the comp blew...it might have blown other fuses. Just throwing my $0.02 in

well...im sorry to here this thing is that big of a problem for you. seeing as how there is no obvious sign of why it wont run. when your fuse blew did it melt any wires? any other fuses blow? did the same fuse blow again? just double check all connections.
nothing! i cant find anything! AGH! i even got a code reader and it said no codes
this sucks.
this sucks.
