Default Gas pedal not reacting

Hello everyone
My 99 Cherokee sport is not responding when I press down on the gas pedal. Everything is running, motor sounds good. Any ideas ?
Thanks

Is the cable still attached to the throttle body bell crank?

Ok so went to my daughter's school and the Jeep was running perfectly. I checked cable all connected I tried to make it happen again and could not. Lube cable ends in case it was getting hung up.Don't want to say oh well because it's my daughter, and afraid it might happen again while she's driving. She is off for 6 weeks so when I bring her back I will change throttle position sensor. Any other suggestions
Thanks

Make sure you use a quality sensor and not some autozone junk TPS.

The BWD brand from Advance Auto or Pep Boys is decent - probably a step up from the Duralast (Autozone). If you want to be certain you're getting a good one then the OEM Mopar. These are available from many retailers (Amazon, partgeek.com, Morris 4x4) for as low as $65 - If I had the time to order the Mopar, that's what I'd use since the cost difference between the aftermarket and OEM is only like $20.

X2... I've heard good things with BWD... that's also what I put in my XJ and no issues with the quality.
