gas mileage

i have my 89 xj with the 4.0. has a 4 inch lift with 33's about what mileage should i be getting?

is it automatic or stick? My auto eats more gas than my 5 spd.

depends on alot of things i have a 3" lift with 31s and 3.50 gears im getting about 17 on average

I'm only getting 14mpg with 31s and 3" lift. Was getting 11mpg but now its getting 14 with the summer blend of gas. But I also have a little bit of a miss fire.

Lift size will have no bearing on gas mileage. Tire size on the other hand has everything to do with gas mileage. I am getting 16 mpg on 33s with a 4.0, an automatic trans, and stock 3.55 gears.
