Finally pics 1993 XJ
Not sure on the lift I think it's a 4-1/2 on 33's. I made the snorkle for her. Tends to wistle a little. The guy I bought it from built this push bar. The welds are goobered up and not protecting anything. It's gotta go.
I had a brand new 4.0 engine droped in. Kept the old block hoping to rebuild how I want it. anyways here is the pics I have so far.

Need longer brake lines! stock ones dont stretch that far

looks more like a 6 1/2" lift id think cause on 4.5" and 33s, those meats would be rubbing like a *****. nice looking rig though..intresting push bar. that thing street legal?
No rear sway bar. Fronts always disconected unless I get on the highway.
I was pulled over once but the officer didnt say anything. I even had the doors off with no side mirrors. He did mention that if some of the other cops wanted to be a richard they could write me a fix it ticket. I was pulled over for not having plates a week after I bought it.

I had about the same setup.

can take the credit for the fender flares. Previous owner f-ed up the fenders. Fish hooks everywhere. I cleaned up the metal and picked the flares out of a junk yard, and bumped them up. The rear was bumped up so high I had to cut them in half, half on door and half on fender.
I was playing in the snow today. noticed that when I was in 4x4 the front drivetrain was cluncking. felt like it was in the driver front wheel. Checked the front berrings had some play at 6 and 12 o'clock. a cluncking on almost every revolution. u joints I replaced in sept. ant ideas?
BTW thanks for the compliments. Have had nothing but problems from day one. She gets mad when I yell at her--" I WISH YOU WERE NEW!"

That is the cleanest fender raise job I've ever seen. Good looking Homebrew snorkel, too. You defintiely grt the fact that Jeeps are built, not bought. Nice XJ!!!!!

Use some YJ front brake lines to keep from popping one on a big flex. The YJ lines are about 4" longer than your stock ones.

Jack it up again and shake it at 6 and 12 and have someone watch the ball joints. If they are not moving what so ever, then look at the wheel compared to the top of the upper ball joint and see if it is moving. If it is its your hub bearing. I say look at the top of the ball joint so you have something to go off of that is stationary becuase it can be difficult to see bearing movement.

How much movement should the wheel have?
