Fuel Pump Wiring Questions

I'm wiring my fuel pump on a 88' Cherokee 4.0L up to the dash. Quick Question should i put an inline fuse on the power wire? If so what Amp.

Im not sure how many amps the fuel pump pulls, But I would DEFINITELY put a inline fuse in. I would also run it off of a relay, with a 10 amp switch for the "signal" to the relay, and no smaller than 12awg wire..

Use a "ATC" type fuse holder, preferably waterproof. ATC is the type used in the fuse box, that way if for some reason the fuse blows you can take one out of your fuse box from a circuit you dont really need. At least it would get you home..
