Default fuel pump leak?

my cherokee seems to leak gas out of the gas tank right where the sending unit is located, looks like it could be coming from the seam between the tank and sending unit. I was wondering if there is a seal, gasket, or o-ring thats there that may need replacing? any ieas would be appricited

There is an o-ring that seals the sending unit to the tank. When you replace the seal it is advisable to replace the lock ring at the same time.
Yes, it is possible to replace with the tank still on the Jeep.

right, subs, i have often wondered if my subs aided in the looseness of the cap, thats why i ask. as far as having to replace the whole thing, i think that true, but only if you are having trouble with the pump itself. i think this is a seal issue, and you can deff. buy an o ring individually.

advance auto has the lockring and i believe its a flat rubber gasket that comes with it. i got one, just havnt put it on yet. and if your using a screwdriver, put some tape on the end,so you dont create any sparks.
