which fuel injectors to buy ? XJ 1994
Guys, I have 240k on my 1994 XJ and my fuel consumption is 100 KM per 27 litters (dunno how to calculate in gallons sorry)
i changed the spark plugs, fuel filter , fuel pump (carter) and the mileage still the same.
The dealer removed and checked my fuel injectors and they have a green color buildup so he said they are blocked and corrupted. (Still have the Chrysler OM ones) and he said they must be replaced to improve gas mileage and engine stability.
Please tell me which set on injectors to buy (i read the forum about many brands and upgrades but im still confused about the ones i should buy since i am shipping them to Beirut / Lebanon so i must be sure what im buying).
Thank you for your help

Agreed ^. Contact Programbo here on CF. He recently posted 703's are getting harder to find, but he has found another that fills the bill.
(if I remember right, Bosch # 280 155 703, is what has been proven excellent, especially post 90).

Couldn't find bosch or neon 703 in Beirut. Does part number 53030778 fits instead of 53030343 on my 1994 xj? I know the psi of 778 is higher so what are the risks?

Hi. The 53030343's would work but you'd still be using the old style single port injector. Obviously newer of any kind would be an improvement but if you're buying might as well upgrade.

Hello. Did you ever find anything? Sorry I thought I had replied to your last post. If you can't find 703's the newer 784's will work but you'd either have to change all the injector plugs to the new EV-6 style or get adapters. Ford or Volvo 700/710/746 injectors are very plentiful and would work but you'd want to swap to a 49psi fuel pressure regulator which are fairly easy to get from Dodge/Chrysler vehicles. The fat metal 0280150965 injectors from older Dodge cars would also be a step up from stock injectors
