When I push on one of my fuel injectors the engine wants to die. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I知 also looking for the clips that holds the injection harness securely to the head bolts. What are they called and where might I find some? I致e searched for, but I知 not having any luck.

The little paper clip holders? If you can't find them new I know you can find them in the junk yard.

Also what kind of injectors do you have? Are they the stock injectors?

They are stock injectors and all clips on the injectors are there. It痴 just when I move one particular injector around it kills the engine. The clips for the harness are to hold the wire harness up and away from the manifold shield. I can稚 find them most likely because I知 not sure what they are called. I致e searched every where. I致e seen some YouTube videos that show some nice ones that attach to the head bolts starting with number 3 head bolt, but they don稚 discuss this particular part in the video.

Oh I know what your talkibg about but also don't know what they are called. If all else fails you can find some at the junk yard.

As far as the stock injectors go. I would highly recommend upgrading to 746 Bosch injector or 710's. The stock injectors extremely likely to cause problems, either by leaking at the seam because they are two piece, or possibly what you are experiencing. The other injectors I named are one piece 4 hole and will only leak at the O-rings which is not a big deal really. Those can be changed on the side of the road if it was neccessay. A leaky injector 3 hours from anywhere would leave you in a bad situation.

So to sum up I would upgrade to those 746 injectors, which can be found on many Volvo's in the junkyard and always keep a pack of fuel injector O-rings in your jeep.

If you go that route, pm jhc7399 on this forum. He refurbs and flow tests injectors. I bought a set of 746 injector from him about 1-1/2 year ago for a good price after my stock ones started weeping gas. Avoid the cheap knock-offs on eBay.

I got mine from the junk yard. I went to look for an XJ part and decided to go by the volvos to look at some 746's. I found a volvo that was un touched & it was a 6 cylinder so I didn't have to look for a second one. Everything I read said it would be 5 cylinders. Brother in law got him a set the other week. He had to go to two volvos cause they only had 5 cylnders.....

Chicken-n-picker, which injectors in your opinion is more preferable the 746 or 710 and are they both compatible with my stock wire harness clips?

For the Renix non-HO setup, the four-hole Bosch 0280150746 (aka 746) injectors are a straight swap. I'm running them in my 89. They are a little skinnier in diameter than stock, but otherwise bolt right in and have the same electrical connectors. The flow rate is almost exactly the same flow rate as stock. You don't want the 710s, as they flow about 50% less than the 746s. The 703s are suitable for the HO engines.

I have never used 710's I think I read people use them but I went with the 746's. I really like the 746's.

Or now that I think of it maybe I read people using the 703's......ah......just get the 746's either way haha.

These are the harness clips I was talking about. They actually attach to the valve cover bolts.
