Just went to have a look into the maintenance schedule in the operation information booklet and it mentioned to change the "fuel filter/water seperator element" actually every 20.000 Km. Never been done as far as I know.
I know my fuel filter is in the fuel pump (97 post update) if I'm not mistaken, but what is this fuel filter/ water seperator element that is being mentioned? And can I replace that myself?
Thanks in advance!

I agree with Guntar13, in that a Fuel Filter/Water Seperator is used in 2.5 Liter Diesel engine installation, not 4.0 gasoline installations.
I don't know what booklet you are looking in but I think you need a 1997 Cherokee Owner's Manual with the 4.0 Liter engine.

Yep, its from the owner's manual actually, Or Operation Instructions, as it says. It deals with petrol as well as diesel, so I guess they should have specified it was for the Diesel then.

Recommend the Bosch module (the original OEM module) or a Carter module...no others.
