Default Fuel filter?
My 86' 2.8L is getting horrible gas mileage. Where is the fuel filter. Above gas tank? Thought it was on side rail. Can smell gas everytime it is running. Also have problems on cold start,.having to keep the RPM at 2,000 till its warm enough to hold idle.

not sure if your fuel filter is the problem. it sounds like you're burning to rich.

Find your fuel leak before a spark does!
