Never mind guys , i have long since made the trip , and figured it out myself , but just for future postings...is there anything special i need to do to get a reply on this forum , or does being English , and living in Eastern Europe render me invisible...?
Congratulations on the diesel XJ.
And you are not invisible, you have 31 views right now. People just may not of known the answer to your question, you know with it being a diesel and all... It may have a smaller tank... I dont know for sure though. But once again, congratulations on the diesel XJ... Sounds like a nice Jeep.

Invisible? We don't ignore Jeepers, even ones that are "across the pond". I sent you a Private Message not long after your initial post. How soon we forget.

Yeah , i am begining to realise that the old oil burners are not so popular in the USA , probably because your petrol is a bit more reasonably priced that it is in the UK...... I must confess i am a bit of a petrol head , my other 4 x 4 vehicles are a 2.5 liter petrol Landrover , and a Rangerover with a 7.5 liter chevvy engine in , but being a poor man i thought maybe a diesal was a more sensible idea.... I reckon i am getting over 30 miles to the gallon out of the beast , and i am more than happy with my first Jeep... Had a few issues with cooling , as seems to be normal with these beasts , but all is ok now apart from the heater not working....another project before winter here in Poland , can get down to minus 40 now and then...!!!!!
