Default FSJ drivetrain in my jeep... thinkin bout it...

right now there are 2 J-10's near me on craigslist running for $900... ones on 38's... i was thinking about selling my D44 rear with WJ rear brakes... D30 front with WJ steering brakes and knuckles... my 4.0 with some good mods... and my recently rebuilt BA-10 and 231... with selling these i think i could easily buy a FSJ with a 360 and D44's... if i had them sold already i could easily buy one of these J-10's... i know im looking at re fabing the axles in... the back would be easy... the front would not... and if i remember right advanced adapters makes motor mounts for a 360 conversion. since i would be using everything from the FSJ i dont think i would need any other adapters... what else am i looking at buying here or spending? ive got a 4.5 short arm kit not on the jeep yet but plan to build my own long arms... so a custom cross-member is gonna happen anyways... im just wondering if this sounds like a good idea to everyone else? heck if i could find a J-20 then i could run 8 lug front and rear... anyways my goal is to run 37's on 4.5 of lift... lots of body fabbing i know... but im just not sure if i built the D30 it would hold up... and im gonna want more power then the 4.0...thanks for any thoughts... also maybe some ideas as to what years and gears to look for if i do decide to do this...

those are both passenger side drop. if you are taking the whole drivetrain do it up. just let it be known you will need to cut into the floor to clear the passenger side drop t-case and hopefully not too much will be in the way of the driveshaft.

if it were me i would look for a 1980+ donor, drivers drop, less work, just as strong
