Whats the gauge of the metal most of these brackets use? I think i'm going to have to make my own so that I can put my hooks in the same place they are. I also bought some fine nit aluminum screening and how i'm going to fix the grille is knock out all the little fins and back the whole thing with the screen and paint it black.

I think i've got it planned out. Going to get some ~1/4" steel and run it all the way back to the sway bar bolts so that there would be four bolts going through the mount. Going to run that plate on the inside and outside of the frame. Also, the bottom one will be welded to the frame. Think that will be strong enough? The sway bar bolts are about a foot back from the end of the frame.
