Default Front Sway Barless: To Do or Not to Do?

I have been driving around without my front sway bar connect for a few weeks and have no problems with it off.

My question is, are there any negative side effects to just removing it?

I live in Michigan and feel that the winter would be when I miss it the most.

Any thoughts?

And yes, my rear was removed long, long ago.

You will have less control of the vehicle in a panic stop or sudden swerve on the road. They are meant as a safety feature. I would'nt dare drive mine on the street without it with the lift that I have. Disconnects are well worth the investment.

I tried to drive my 91 with it disconnected on the 6.5 lift and the body roll alone when turning scared the crap out of me. Now my 89 will be sans swaybar front and rear because it will be trail driven only.

I've got about 3.5" of Frankenlift and don't plan to go any higher. Also, when I can afford it, my Frankenlift will be replaced with the 3" or Ultimate XJ kit from: http://www.dpgoff-road.com/site/OMEXJkits.htm

The article makes a good point. Lots of people remove the sway bar and manage to get around. However it is in a panic situation when you need the sway bar. To me it is kind of like driving with automatic lockers on ice. Yes you can get used to it. but still unsafe.

Mine doesn't have one and I am looking to put one on as its a bit rolly in the corners. Just get quick disconnects.
