front sway bar hits spring

Default front sway bar hits spring

i have a 97 jeep cherokee and i recently installed a 3 inch lift with 31" tires and my sway bar where the stabilizer link in the left hits the spring when going fast or going up large hills i changed the sway bar and both links and still hits any ideas ? The kit came off an older jeep but the older jeep didnt have this probem/

Did you install an adj track bar,just going up this much will allow the front end to move over,mine is doing the same thing and that is what was reccomended to me to get the axle back in the center.

did you install longer sway bar links or a drop bracket for the swaybar if not you need 2

Mine did the same thing. It is no big deal. You can get some longer links and that will reposition it.

the kit didnt have an adj track bar where do i get longer links or the adj track arm i keep ripping the nut and rubber gromets off with the spring lol the right side is fine only the left side hits

Yes u can but it will lean or "sway" around turns! More so on long high speed curves!

While we r on the topic idk where to tie up my quick disconects/sway bar when I'm wheeling if u look at my pics u can see I just ziptie the QD's to the sway bar!!!???

You can just extend your current sway bar links about 2-3" or you can buy some disconnect links, which will be longer.

You can drive, but it will not be very safe. You won't be able to pass the Consumer Reports emergency avoidance test. In other words, you will have excessive body roll and reduce the safety factor of the vehicle.

the relocating bracket didnt help im going with the longer links prolly the quick disconnects i hope this works i took the sway bar off for the mean time

dont want to burst your bubble but those relocation brackets are no good they put added stress on the already weak frame and can bend and flex pretty much i would recomend an adjustable track bar
