How do I remove the front skid plate and bumper on a stock '90 xj. ? I have to install an upgrade spacer plate for the steering box. Any tips will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

It's pretty self explanatory. The skid plate should have 3-4 bolts holding it in place, usually 15mm. Remove those and it will come out.

The front bumper is removed by unbolting the bumper mounting brackets from the frame. It will come off easy. Also is you want to leave the brackets in place, you can just unbolt the bumper from the brackets and leave them attached

Skid plate has some large bolts on the frame near the sway bar mounts, plus some smaller studs and nuts on the front edge. I usually support the back edge of the skid with the floor jack, undo the big bolts, then take off the nuts in front and lower the jack. If you're just replacing the spacer between the steering box and the frame rail, you shouldn't need to unbolt the bumper. Does the upgraded spacer include something on the outboard side of the drivers side frame rail that that hits the bumper bracket? You'll want either a rope to the rafter to support the steering gear or a strong buddy to hold it from up top while you struggle to get the bolts back in.

Thanks for the input😁. I bought a T50 torx socket today for the frame bolts. Will tackle it all tomorrow. Thanks again😊

Little late to the party but I suggest that you buy an impact torx if you did not.
Depending on the size and how tight that torx bolt is you could twist a regular one.
When I pulled off my front bumper even though I had a regular torx set bought an impact torx to do the job.
Also good thing is that impact torx are 1/2" drive.
