Front Shimmy at 50 mph
My front is shimmying at around 50 mph I believe it is the tie rod ends but I am not sure, if yall could tell me what it could be and where to buy the parts that would be great. It is causing my BFG A/T to sound like Mud-Terrains.

Most common problem is Tires need some balancing. How is the alignment? Have you recently lifted it. There could be so many things that it is hard to tell. You really ought to get under it and lube everything and do a good inspection.

I recommend pro's balancing if they did it then I am sure it is good. When you lubed it did everything look Tight. Could be a hub, tierod, Diff, tires, tracbar, steering box, Pittman arm, There is so much that could give you a front shimmy at 50+ that it is hard to really just tell you to replace this. Just got to get down there and tighten stuff up you already lubed, If you lifted and changed tires and never got an alignment then that could be your problem.

Check track bar and steering damper...start xj, leave in park, rock steering wheel back and forth...if you see the body move slightly before the wheels start to turn...track bar is bad...probably at frame end...just my .02

Unless your tires are worn incorrectly its a balancing/alignment problem. Just save yourself the hassle and take it in and let the pros with machines do it.
PS-take it to an alignment only shop.

Uh oh, sounds like death wobble. Most often it's tires out of balance, or your track bar not centering your axle correctly. Take it to an alignment shop and get it dialed in to the proper specs. If that doesn't fix it, stop by the tire shop and have your wheels rebalanced. My bet's on the track bar. When you lifted it, did you install an adjustable track bar, or relocate the mounting location of your stock one?
I took it to my local Tire and Mechanic shop and they said it was my tires that were causing the shimmy. They are 30" BFG All-Terrains on 15X8 steel wheels. The edges are worn on them. I am probably going to get new tires. Do yall know if it is possible to fit 31's on a 2" lift? Also what Mud-terrains do yall suggest?

I have the BFG A/Ts KO and they are great both on or off road. I have an RE 3.5" lift and no rub. You may get some at 2" though.
