Hey all, I just bought a 86 Cherokee pioneer and am totally new to the jeep world. The Jeep I bought does not have the correct front seats or any mounting brackets. Has anyone ever fabricated their own seat mounts or know a website or location i could buy both driver/ passenger? If you've fabbed some, could you please add pic's, would be greatly appreciated. Even if someone knows where I could get dimensions for the mounts. I've tried my local junkyards and FB marketplace and all the seats/ mounts were already pulled. Thanks

 

You can try ebay for seats or the brackets .

 

I've looked online and have found plenty of seats/ mounts. I'm not sure what the 86 was original with, cause there are about 4 different mounts I've seen for a replacement.

 

None of the ones you saw said if they were OEM seat mounts ?

 

Nope, and I've found a couple passenger sides on ebay but there's two different kind and the way the floor is in the 86, it looks like it needs to be raised to fit the seat.

 

The passenger side seat is different from a 2 door to a 4 door . I would see if you can put in seats form a newer xj or maybe a Grand cherokee .
