Removed the 12" shocks
they = Extended 29.7 collapsed 17.9
With the Lower BPE and upper Stud to eye conversion bracket they would not work our good.
So after I was able to measure I came up with
27 extended and 16" compressed (considering 1" for bump stop compression)
Flexed measurement I jacked up bumper till tire was off ground then pushed down on tire. (springs unseated 2 inches.)
for compressed length I took the total distance on flat ground which was 21" and subtracted the space between my bump stop 4" but I subtracted 5" because the bump stop compresses as well at full flex.
So I am leaning towards the 10" shocks.
here are the specs for the 10" and 11" shocks what you think would be my best bet?
11" = 28 extended and 16.5 compressed
10" = 25.9 extender and 15.9 compressed
I just want to be sure I get the correct ones this time.

I'm gonna chime in on this one. I just posted a thread called, "A little cheese with that whine." And this is just my case and point.
If the shop that sold you these shocks asked you about your lift and all that. Shouldn't you not have this problem? How can a shop sell you shocks and not know what you need? Makes no sense.
So how could they not take them back if they are not the correct ones?
I know there's a little more too it. But there is kind of a general thing.
I called Rusty's (where I got my lift) asked them what the measurements were of the shocks that came with my 4.5" lift, both compressed and extended. Then ordered my shocks. I remember extended was 27". I don't recall compressed.

I sold the shocks that came with my 6.5" rough country long arm kit cause they are to short in everyones opinion and limited droop in the front which is the whole purpose of a long arm.
In the rear I had cut and welded shock mounts up higher so in that case as well I needed to flex and measure to get the right correct length cause they where not the same as the ones that came with the RC kit.
also the RC 6.5" LA kit comes with shocks from a 4.5" LA kit they do not send any different shocks for the 6.5" kit. haha
wtf!
anyway
thanks again
I believe I have it all tuned in after this.
I went back outside and rechecked my measurements and I should be all set with the 11" shocks instead of the 12" shocks.

you really cant trust manufactures with shock sizes. every rig is different and they dont account for that. when you are spending a good chunk of $$ on bilsteins you want what will work with your rig the best not what the manu. is guessing will fit your rig...........
OP isnt the compressed measurement between the 12" and 11" one inch? thought you needed more compressed inches?
