Default front end vibrations.

i have been noticing some slight front end vibrations when i go 55-60. they go away if i am not in that speed. today i think i had death wobble for the first time my front end was shaking violently. i can feel the shaking the in the steering wheel. what are some of the first things i should check?

If you had a death wobble, you would KNOW IT. 55-60 is kinda high for death wobble, usually it happens under 40. if it doesnt shake, then shakes, then doesnt shake once you get past 60, then its most likely out of balance tires.

it all depends on your definition of "shaking violently"

I think if found the source of my problem this all started happening after I took it to a tire shop because I had a puncture in my front drivers side. They took the tire off the rim to try and find the puncture. Would the tire have to be rebalanced after being taken off the rim if it was the same tire and rim?

I had the tires balanced today. They were out of balance but it did not fix the problem. Could the jeep be out of alignment causing this? Any other suggestions?
