front end problem
I just put a 5.5 lift on my jeep and i had it aligned but when i hit a bump in the road it makes the front end hop and out of control till i slow way down then it stops. I also replaced the bushings in the lower cntrl arms after the alignment too, maybe i should get it aligned again?? And the hubs and ball joints are good. and i have a heavy duty tie rod and adjustable trac bar. and its all tight. I cant figure it out!! Its driving me crazy!!!
Any help would be great!! Thanks guys

did you replace your shocks when the lift was installed it sounds like the shocks are blown and your riding on the springs which will give you that up/down bounce

Drop bracket won't make the arms any longer. You need an adjustable track bar also, if you don't have one already (if not then your axle is actually going to be about an inch further over to the driver's side), and longer lower control arms.

Yeah. 5" of lift is way too much for the stock arms. I'm surprised your tires don't rub on the rear of the front inner fender. Can you turn lock to lock with no tire rubbing?

The flatter your lower control arms are, the better it will ride, and the longer lower control arms will actually push your axle forward back to where it's supposed to be, when you lifted it, the stock control arms actually pull it back, throws the caster off, causes the wobble at high speeds when you hit bumps and such.

I'm stumped, had the same problem. They guys I worked with at Schwabs told me what I'm telling you and it fixed my problem. You said your ball joints are good? Might need offset ball joints to adjust the camber.
