I'm in complete agreement with bluexj.
my point is that control arm drop brackets are NOT worth the money you spend on them.
they're 1/4 payment on a TNT y-link setup (just the links and skid themselves), and they're simple to build. short adj. arms are only another $60 or so and definitely offer more articulation.
BTW, I run short RC adjustable arms with 6.5" lift. don't have any issues with the short arms really. just with bending the axle cause I forgot to truss it.
that said, I'm building long arms....because if I have to swap gears, I may as well go deeper with bigger tires and more lift and get what I want out of the deal.
