Default Front driveshaft problems

Hey all. About two months ago my front driveshaft started clicking or knocking, so I narrowed it down the the double cardan ball joint thing inside of that whole setup. I replaced it and everything was fine. Now it has come back and it is also squeaking. If the joint has worn out again why would it do it so quickly again? TIA

Did you replace the u-joints, too?
Have you been in the water much?
Slip yoke and u-joints all greased now?

You can take off the shaft and inspect it and
also drive it without the shaft to see if the noises
are all still there.

I replaced the two u joints in the double cardan joint but not the one on the other end as it was done recently. I have been through some puddles that would probably be up to my drive shaft and everything was greased when I replaced everything. When I had it apart from what I recall the place where the ball goes looked worn out. I'll try and get some pictures when I take it apart today.

Well, if the ball is worn out, there's your answer.
