Front Differential problem
I have a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.9 Limited, and i need the front differential replaced. i was wondering if by disengaging the front driveline i can bypass the differential, so i can put off fixing it for a few months. Or if anyone knows a work around for this, because i really dont have 1500 to blow on a new differential. Any help here would be awesome. Thanks!

I just noticed that you are writing about a Grand Cherokee! Do you even have a front drive shaft or do your axles come off the transfer case as with trans axles?
