Default Front axles

Hey guys sorry if this has been covered but I couldn't find it. I'm going to be replacing my front hubs and figured I'd replace the u joints while I'm at it. My question is do the axles just slide out or are they held in by a c-clip? Thanks

In my experience with changing a D30 driver side front U-Joint, the shafts just slide out. Wether or not it was SUPPOSED to or not, I have no clue....

Ok...thanks a lot guys. I'm probably going to change my diff fluids anyway if I had to pull the covers but I guess I'll wait on that. Which spicer u joint is it and what fluid do you guys run without a Limited Slip diff?
