only real bolt in would be the tj rubicon d44. but that's really just a glorified d30.
i'd go for a set of full size 44/9" from either an early bronco, or 78-79 bronco or f150. or even go d44/d60 from a 78-79 f250.

I have a Rubicon 44 front built by Missouri 4x4 Supply with Yukons and Superior Cromo shafts. If I did it again I would just build the D30 instead. Good Luck with your build.

That's what I've always wondered. Is there any that will fit with only minor mods and will have the same bolt pattern 4.5 x 5 and be close to the same width. Perches and ca mounts can be welded on easy but I want something that doesn't look goofy sitting alot wider then the rear and I want to be able to keep me MT signature series wheels that I love so much

the only d44 with 5 on 4.5 like ours is the tj rubi 44. but it is running d30 outers to get that bolt pattern.
early bronco's are close to the same width, but are 5 on 5.5. they will also need some work as they are radius arm. you could either cut those off and weld on control arm mounts, or change your xj to work with radius arms.

the only easy fits are other dana30's, rubicon 44's, or super rare south american xj 44 fronts that i have only seen one of in mah life.
next step is a 1980+waggy 44. it is a touch wider than stock. requires some welding, and is 6 lug. you will need to match the lug pattern somehow, either achieved by running ford 5 lug outer hubs and a wheel adapter on your rear axle for a 5 on 5.5 lug pattern. or get a 6 on 5.5 rear axle to match the stock waggy front lug pattern.
after that you are looking at late 70's high pinion 44's which are much wider than stock or getting into dana60 territory
