Default friction pad material?

I added an old man emu AAL to my existing OME spring pack. The AAL didn't come with friction pads on the ends like the rest of the pack and it's a little annoying. Is there anything i can shove between the leaves?

I would just try to get your hands on some friction pads, they will do the best job (thats what they were designed to do)

I have seen plastic milk cartons cut up and used on pick-ups. But dont know how well they work or how long they last. Use the white ones not the yellow so it looks less ghetto.

What did you end up doing? Im thinking about trying plastic from an antifreeze container.
