Ok so I am new to the Jeep world and I am looking for some advice on my 1989 XJ. I bought this thing for 700 bucks and have already started fixing a few things on my "need" list. I'm curious if anyone knows anything that is common on this year or this model that I should give some attention to before starting in on my "want" list.

As is, the vehicle is on 31" BFG a/t's with no lift, my leaf springs are flat as a pancake and my front coils have some type of little bracket things between the 2nd and 3rd sind of the coil? Not sure but I think it is some type of cheap mod to fit the 31's. I plan to life the truck 4.5 or possible 6" but dont really want to do that until I get some of the other stuff that needs attention out of the way while it is still easy to get to at stock heighth.

Any words of encouragement, advice, suggestions or c riticism are welcomed. Thanks.

What are neon injectors? Im not familiar with them?

less than 50 bucks i got mine at a u pullit yard but you can get them on ebay and places like that get your self a repair manual from the auto parts store it helps a lot thru repairs
