I'm running it now in an old GM R12 system instead of R12. Uses the same oil, its pretty much a drop-in replacement. It cools about as well as the R12 did, perhaps a slight bit better. The pressures are lower.
It's a mix of predominantly propane and butane if that is an issue for you, the stuff is flammable, thus not legal to use in states that ban flammable refrigerants for automotive use.

19 states ban flammable refrigerants in automotive use. (fewer than half). I'm not going to list them on chance of getting one wrong and having someone rely on it. Google knows

Propane is a great refrigerant. I deliver it. Freezes the **** out of you in an instant. And, it's highly flammable.

Sounds like a new name for the old "freeze twelve" that napa and car quest used to carry. That was mostly of a propane mix.

I can tell you it is Illegal for purchase in New Jersey, but cyber sites are not always accurate .....either way, it will be a matter of time as to when the government stops the use of it.

Advanced Auto has an R12 to R134 conversion kit for about $50. It comes with replacement expansion valves I think.

I've used the Duracool stuff before (not with my Jeep). It works.

California is not on that list? The #1 nanny state is not on the list. I'm shocked!

Running R12a under the "RED TEK" brand. Worked alright, need to find that leak though.
