Anybody know what a reasonable cost would be to replace all the freeze plugs in my 89 4.0 cherokee?

Lot of labor. Drain coolant, remove manifold and a bunch of vac lines, popping old plugs, install new, fill coolant, test.

I'd do it yourself or hopefully you have a connection for a good price.

 

Theres also some mechanics that can do them with out removing any of that .

 

Thanks for your replies but I don't have the logistics to do the job but bigger than that I'm not physically able. Just looking for what would be a ballpark number. I understand it's a labor thing........

 

I had a friend do mine for a 6pack and my time spent cleaning his garage.

When you say all, do you mean on the side, or are you including the one on the back? Big difference in labor cost. I don't know your local rates, though. Sorry.

 

Don't forget the one on the back of the head and back of the block. Are they real corroded?

 

I would not a more than 250.00 labor and parts .

 

That's my problem Cruiser.
It's the ones in the back that are messed up. While it's being done I want all of em done. And anything else in there that needs fixin.

That last stick of dynamite is getting real close to a match right about now.......
