.....not even a ZJ fan clutch will compensate for another component performing less than 100%.....LOL.

oh no i wasnt refering to that. i meant replacing the stock clutch lol i for one (having a closed renix system) know how important that is.

Since the OP's XJ already has the mech fan removed, I think an easier and better option is to install a good e-fan to handle cooling duty. One of my favorite mods was ditching the mech fan, instant throttle response increase, probably a few saved HP and I would imagine helps my mileage out.

both have pros and cons.

but how is 4 nuts harder than wiring in an electrical fan the correct way?

My thoughts to the OP are, start with a sound, 100% foundation (minus the OE fans) and work (mod) from there. Don't guess at any components condition.

Depends on what the PO did to remove the mechanical fan, like i would have to find a AC/fan bracket with good bearings (cant buy new ones), actual fan blades, unbroken shroud and buy a clutch to re-install it. While wiring might be more intimidating at first if you've never done, once you get into it and get an understanding, its pretty easy job. The OP just has to hook the wire coming from the switch to a relay to control power from the battery to the fan and ground everything. Easy

I'm not sure exactly why the po put the two electric fans in there in the first place I'm assuming that something happened to the mechanical fan as for the connector it is still there. I'm not quit sure what other parts are suppose to be under the hood from a previous mechanical fan that was taken out I'm not a mechanic at any means. Also the water pump is brand new the receipt was in the glove box. The hoses are fine but the one thing that I left out is that my buddy did find copper stopper in the radiator. I'm not loosing any fluid or coolant except for the time I couldn't pull off the road in time and pssshhh the cap did what it was suppose to do and released the pressure when it overheated. So basically I'm asking what should my first option be to do? Replace the s**t fans with better elect fans first or go another route? I live in charleston sc and its about to get down right hot in the next couple months so something needs to be done quick like. Thanks for all the input by the way I do appreciate it!!

I'd start replacing whatever cooling system components u DON'T have a receipt for. Posting up some pics will help a lot in determining how butchered, or not, things r.
