Default frame Crack please Help

i have jeep xj 90 i have crack under steering unit i weld it but now
still have crack please help me i need the best way to finish this problem ?
i need the steps please ... like the type of weld or something ?? please help me

id prolly try and clean up the immediate area and plate it with some more steel

do u meen by plate it ....... install more steel on it & weld it or what ??
alot of guys tell me weld it but i dont know the type of weld ????

preferably a mig welder.

welder up the crack as best as possible, then set up some more steel on top and weld the perimeters of that steel, try and box in the crack

I had the same thing happen to my 97 xj. I had a guy weld it for me he welded a plate onto the side and bottom of it. Not 100% sure but I think it was 1/4 steel it could have been 1/2 too. But I never had a problem after that. I wish I had some pictures for ya but like an idiot I sold the dang thing!

maby2fast ...... when they weld it they weld it by co2 welding


200sportxj ..... here in jordan we dont have mig welder

HomeDepot sells steel plates.
Pay a welder to do the job. Stabilizer bar has to be removed. Drill hole in patch for stab. bar bolt before welding.

I guess it is about $50 job.

i had my frame sleeve made up by eric at staangsfab.com
it's much better than any i've seen out there yet.
