Is Fram filter bad?
I'm sure you'll find other filters on vehicles too. People use from because they're easy to find and they work. I did watch the video but still as long as from is being made then I will run from oil filters

Yeah, well some people continue to use tobacco products despite overwhelming evidence and proof of its harmful effects.
Some people are just stubborn like that.

That's different. Tobacco products are proven harmful. Has anyone proven fram filters are bad? Just because a motor blew with a fram filter on it doesn't mean it was the filter that made it break down. Properly maintain your stuff and maybe it will run a long time. I ran a xj with a fram filter for years. Had 208k and running great when I got rid of it

Interesting thread.
I just had a most awful experience with a Fram oil filter on my XJ... The return tube that goes into the filter from the filter mount bottomed out in the fram filter and did not allow a full seal where the filter mates with the filter mount. I torqued it down to appropriate torque and thought it was just fine...until I fired up the jeep and all of my engine oil came right back out of the engine and onto my drive way.
I was ragingly ticked off... ><
(both the little computer at Wallyworld and the book at Autozone listed the same filter to fit my XJ)

I use what I use because like I stated, I will use fram until they don't make them anymore. Valvoline full synthetic with fram filters is what I've used since I was 16 and will never use anything else.

Had one truck for 4 years, an xj for a few years, a few I was playing musical cars with... I've had 14 vehicles. Just counted. But the ones I had for a few years I had no issues with fram

Where do the chunks go? Ever taken an oil pan off that someone was using a fram filter on the motor? You won't find chunks of **** in there. You find chunks of **** from ****ty oil such as Pennzoil and quaker state
