i sent my vin to chyrsler and they sent back a long list of what my jeep came with and this is what my axles are? Good or what?

DJHS 230MM Front Axle
DMDP 3.55 Rear Axle Ratio
DRAS Corporate 8.25 Rear Axle

 

8.25 is good

 

woot! im guessing the front is a dana 30?

 

you have a dana 30 front. more than likely a low pinion. and your rear is a chrysler 8.25

there really arent any bad axles that came on the XJ's, the fronts are always a dana 30. they started using low pinion front axles in i think year 2000 models also.

Yup. Only came with the D30. Phone app doesn't show me your profile but I think your pic shows a 97+ XJ. C8.25 isn't very exciting on earlier years

i have 2 xjs, the one im talking about in this thread is a 99 classic interestingly enough my white 01 XJ sport has a Chrysler 8.25 rear also

 

All xj's from 91-2001 had 8.25s...unless you had ABS..then you had the D35.

 

Close... ABS was only available on the D35 but both axles were shipped without.

 

I havent ever seen a 91+ with no ABS and a D35.

 

my 92 had a d35 without ABS

just because you haven't seen it doesn't mean it isn't out there.

Well hell, I guess Chrysler couldnt decide what axle to use then? I know that 97+ had the D35 Exclusively for ABS...I thought that was the same from 91.. guess not.
