I tried looking this one up, but I don't see a similar situation.

I recently replaced my cluster with a gauged set. Prior to this, I had the chime when I opened the door with the key in.

Now that doesn't work, plus as I am driving at night (or when lights are on) the chime goes off about every 10 seconds or so. No other indication of a problem, everything looks good.

I tested the cluster, all lights work.

Any thoughts on this?

Thanks

JR

Something has a poor ground and it's grounding through the chime circuit?

Have you had any issues with your gauges dieing? Mine were, and I had intermittent door chime for lights on. I removed the cluster and put a slight (5degree or so) twist on each of the pins. Gauges never die out anymore, and my door chime works every time.

I'll try that. Where is the chime anyway?

It definitely has to do with the "new" cluster. It looked ok and everything works, but I'm convinced it's causing the issues.

Thanks,

JR
