Crankshaft Position Sensor OBD2?
When looking into purchasing a CPS for my 95, There are some that say with OBD2 and without, how do I know if I have OBD2 or not?
If I can find the connector would that tell me If I have OBD2?
Also......
Are there different ones for Rear wheel drive and 4 wheel drive?
Thanks.

The OBD-I CPS is OEM part number 5606921 and has round pins for the connector.
The OBD-II CPS is OEM part number 5607865 and has flat pins for the connector.
You can unplug the CPS and look at the pins then buy the style you need.
There is no different ones for 4WD vs. 2WD.

That is understood.
What I referred to is that the CPS flat pin "Style" is OBD-II and the OBD-I is a round pin style. I'm not saying his/her XJ is OBD-II.
The OP needs to determine what his/her Jeep has and buy the appropriate Style CPS.

Interesting. I didn't know it was possible for an OBD-I vehicle to have OBD-II style plugs in it and vice versa.

Open this link and scroll down to post #50, then open the sales code listing. Sales code XCY is on page 137 of the listing.
I don't know about vice versa, but the 1994-1996 parts catalog shows the CPS sales code XCY option.

I have a odb1 scanner. I found an empty connector in the engine compartment but the connector looks differint than the obd tool I have.
Anyone know where the OBD1 connector is on a 95XJ ?????
Thanks.
