Default Ford Coil's

Anyone use ford coil's on their jeeps? Was going to look at 6"-8" ford coils once I swap in a D44 HP front under my XJ.

Yep that would be me. I'm running 6 inch lift coils from my old 86 F150 gave me 9 to 10 inches of lift. stiff ride but comfy, also allows you to run without a front sway bar. Love it

they slide right in to the factory location's? Going to get a Ford D44 HP front and 9" rear and figured its alot chaper to get ford coil's and was just going to use them. Dang 6" lift coil's gave you 9-10" of lift?

Consider stock XJ springs are 16 inches uncompressed and the 6 inch lift coils from an F150 are 23 inches uncompressed. The F150 coils only compress 2 inches.

Theres a tab on the top that you have to cut off the spring for it to slide up the bump stop, but other than that no modification req. Yes you will have people on here telling you dont due to its going to ride like a concrete truck, but believe me it dont I have no front sway bar and drives like a dream. yes you do loose some flex but I can promise NO TIRE RUB.

Nope I'm only running about 7 in the rear. I installed a 2 inch drop on my T-Case and had no trouble. But I did do a rear u-bolt conversion on mine no more broken u-joints straps. Your using a ford 9 inch so you dont have to worry about that.
