Default ford 8.8 width?

im thinking about doing conversion and i was just curious about width on a ford explorer 8.8 in relation to a stock xj rear

i've seen guys having to ad 1 in or so spacers when they are installed on an xj to equal the front

There 1.25" shorter but from what I read you can't tell there any different than the front. And Save you $130 on spacers.

Yes, you can tell the difference between the stock 30 in the front and an 8.8 out back. They are about 1" narrower. Im running one and Im very happy with it. Disk breaks, posi trac, and stronger than a D44.
