Default ford 8.8 gearing

okay so i was wondering if i found an 88 with 373's and keep my d30 with the stock 355's is it gonna matter that much when im in 4x4?

yes you will destroy your gears doing that

Most of those 8.8 come with 4.10's so i would find one of them then re-gear your front

no, that wont happen. the chain in the transfer case would bind up and make the case explode when the 4wd is engaged

yeah cause that is much better either way there is going to be some damage
