whats up guys im new to forum . thinking of replacing my rear 8.25 with a ford 8.8 rear from a 2000 exploder . is it any better ?

#1 gears
#2 do u know how to weld perches?
#3diffrent yoke need the adapter
other than that great swap i just bought hardened steal shaft for the d35 cuz it was cheaper than an 8.8 and i saw what they can handle and not snap

A 8.8 is stronger than a Dana 44. The 8.8 it in a strength range right between the 44 and the 60. Lots of aftermarket up grade. It is a lot stronger than the 8.25.. Great upgrade no mater. I know guys running 8.8 in the rear and 60's in the front, so they are strong...
