Fog or smoke coming from vents
I notice in the mornings that there is a fog or smoke coming from my vents in the mornings when I'm driving to work. I can't tell if it has an odor, but I know it does not smell like burning. I tested it to narrow down circumstances... Doesn't really happen when recirculate is on, doesn't really happen when the a/c is off and I just have it blowing through the vents. I live in Houston and thought maybe it was just fog from morning humidity and such, and I guess it may be. But wouldn't it still do it on recirculate? I'm stumped.
I tried attaching the video, but the app keeps crashing when I try.

Had the same issue, as far as I could tell its a leak in the cooling/ radiator system most likely the heater coil. I never fixed mine because its pretty labor intensive to get to the heater coil and its more of a nuisance than a real problem. I'd still have it checked out to be sure. Easy way to tell if its your radiator is it'll smell sweet like anti freeze

Yeah, I've been smelling antifreeze, just wasn't sure if they were related. Is it odd that it just does it in the mornings and on that one setting? Oh, and if my window is down at all, the fog is thicker. Weird.

The reason its in the morning is most likely because Its a very minor leaked and you only see the fog when it has had enough time to pool in your ventilation , like say when you park it over night. I rerouted around my heater coil and it stopped, benefit is I don't have to replace it and my car doesn't smell funny anymore, downside is I can't get heat out of the vents. Luckily I live in the south so not a big deal.

Def the heater core, the reasons for the problems only on certain settings iirc is the heater core only engages when the heat and ac are on and when it's recirculating it doesn't work as hard I think that was how it was explained to me

The job is rather easy, just time consuming. you have to take the whole dash off to get to the assembly. If I where you, I would replace the MOTOR BLOWER, AC EVAPORATOR and HEATER CORE at the same time if you are doing the replacement... all three are not that expensive new but you can go used if you need too, but at least you only do it once... there are youtube videos that can help you get a visual if you need it. good luck!!!
LOL didnt realize the date, you probably don't have the Jeep anymore lol... I hope it will help others.

I've had this problem off and on as well. I was convinced it was the heater core from reading up on it. But I replaced my valve cover gasket and it stopped spewing fog for about a month, now it is back. Still heater core? Or maybe just the many oil leaks and a hole in the vent system somewhere? Not sure where to check really...
